Jolly’s Christmas – Book review

Jolly’s Christmas is a book about Jolly excitement about participating in the “Winter Wonderland Games.”

But before Jolly gets to the games he gets himself hurt in his helping another animal who was caught by some poachers.

Jolly and his friend also encounter the poachers and have to make a run for it. This is when Jolly hurts himself real bad.

Jolly’s back legs are paralyzed and he may never walk again.

However, Jolly doesn’t give up on his dream of learning how to “Fly like a reindeer.” Jolly fights to get better and he does.

After getting stronger Jolly and his new and old friends continue their journey to the reindeer games. But they run into those pesky poachers again and almost get shot.

In the end they save themselves and the other animals that are traveling with them. Then they are honored by Santa, Dasher and Dash for running the poachers out of the forest.

Jolly has a good message about team work, fulfilling your dreams, working for those dreams, and working together.

I do think that the author should have outlined some of these lesson on a followup page. He should also had some discussion questions for parents to talk to their children about.

Jolly’s Christmas is a good read with great illustrative work. The book is by Ken Robb and can be found on Amazon by clicking here: Jolly’s Christmas
